Long term engagements with clients

Why are we still here?

Find the balance between Business and IT

What we’ve learned is that it is equally important to have a good relationship with Business as it is with IT. Our experience has been that continued business from existing projects comes from working closely with ‘Business’ while new business in other areas of the company comes from good relations and reputation within IT. It has been paramount that we have great relationships both inside of IT and with the key end users.

Business

Your interactions, project delivery, value-add, personal relationships and subject matter expertise with and to Business owners, sponsors and users alike will directly influence their likelihood to consider you for further work on existing projects. In our industry, one project usually leads to more projects as scope, requirements and product knowledge increase. There’s always more that can be done and if Business like what you do and what you produce then you will have a Partner for life.

IT

IT, on the other hand, can expose you to new business in a company. If your relationship, skill set, product / tool, reliability and customer relationship can be depended on then there’s a good chance your reputation will find its way into other areas of a company. IT is always looking to create Strategic KPI and dashboard solutions for stability, centrality and data re-use so always try become part of the Strategic plan through good reputation to ensure future work and growth.
